In the tradition of Lionhead Golf & Country Club, the # 1 rated public golf facility in the Greater Toronto Area, Kaneff Properties Limited is pleased to announce a new jewel in the crown, the Royal Niagara Golf Club.

Crafted in the best traditions of golf course design, Royal Niagara takes full advantage of the beautiful Niagara Escarpment landscape, with fairways traveling up the escarpment, tees located on the brink of the historic Welland Canal and holes finishing along the old iron rail bridge.

Royal Niagara was created by renowned golf course architects Ted Baker & Associates and crafted in the best traditions of golf course design. Three impressive 9-hole courses combine to create an oustanding 27-hole facility, unsurpassed in beauty and course conditioning.

Royal Niagara will become a "must play" course of international standing. Playing over 7000 yards from the championship tees, the course features sculpted fairways, undulating greens, cavernous bunkers, and an abundance of water. Nestled between the historic, 120-year-old Welland Ship Canal, the beautiful Bruce Trail and the Niagara Escarpment, Royal Niagara is a stunning course to experience.

Three impressive 9-hole courses are currently under construction and scheduled to open in May 2001:   the Escarpment Course, the Iron Bridge Course and the Canal Courses are being built to the highest championship standards.

The Escarpment Course

The first five holes run due south to the base of the wooded Escarpment. After the 5th hole, you travel to the top of the Niagara Escarpment, returning downhill past the central pond to the clubhouse.

The Iron Bridge Course

The opening three holes run diagonally across the property to the Iron Bridge. The 4th tee is nestled at the abandoned tunnel entrance. The 6th hole returns to the Welland Ship Canal, with a green perched above an old thundering waterfall before heading back to the clubhouse.

The Canal Course

True to its name, the Canal Course is dominated by water. The 2nd green is located immediately adjacent to the Welland Ship Canal as are the 3rd tee and green. Large ponds are found at each of the six finishing holes.
