enjoyable challenge. The course boasts outstanding greens, some
tight tree-lined fairways, elevation changes, a few greenside
bunkers, and water hazards throughout. Not a particularly long
layout, Highview GC rewards strategic play, "laying up", and
shot-making rather than distance off the tee. |

the length of championship venues, the par-4s (# 2, 5, 6, 7,
13) at Highview GC, while short, are not necessarily routine
pars. Most require golfers to "lay-up" off the tee and / or
strategically place tee shots in the fairways, away from the
numerous pitfalls along the way - stands of trees, long grass
/ rough areas, ponds and drainage ditches, and bunkers. |

GC's four par-5s average just over 500 yards, giving long hitters
good birdie opportunities - provided the ball is kept in play.
The six par-3s are a motley bunch - short & long, uphill & down,
wide open & well-guarded, PW to 5W - but all require precision
from the tee.
